LIVE STEM On-Demand: From Problem to Prototype (Grades 7 to 9)
In this broadcast, students will discover what it means to be a maker and how technology supports creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. Through real-world examples and a design challenge, they will explore how digital and physical tools enable making. Students will then brainstorm and plan their own technology-driven solution to a real-world problem. This broadcast session will span a duration of 45 minutes, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for all participants.

Let's Talk Science streams LIVE STEM broadcasts to classrooms across Canada. These co-learning broadcasts are embedded professional learning opportunities for educators to learn alongside their students. In addition to supporting reflective teacher practice, the broadcasts also provide post-learning opportunities for educators as a way to extend student learning between broadcasts. All Broadcasts are connected to the Let’s Talk Science Learning Pathways. Educators can complete a self-reflection in this course to earn a badge that counts towards becoming a Let's Talk Science STEM Certified Educator.
During the broadcasts, a Let’s Talk Science facilitator will lead students through and model for educators learning strategies and activities designed to introduce and reinforce science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts. There are broadcasts aimed at a variety of grade levels and will be provided in English and French.
